Thumbnail / Link Description
P5190002.jpg (71600 bytes) My collection of models for the day (31 in all).  This is what I've spent my evenings for the last few weeks working on...  Of note are my Maxi-Mars Snooper, Maxi Sputnik and Styrofoam Trident (didn't fly due to gusty winds).
P5190003.jpg (46902 bytes) Close up showing my Mini-Grissom, Mini-Orbital Transport, Mini-Sputnik and 3 "fempto" model including a 1:1600 flying scale Saturn V (smallest flying Saturn V in existance!
P5190004.jpg (56624 bytes) Another closeup showing my mini starlight, mini saucer, mini gyroc, maxi birdie, mini X-ray and a slew of others.  The Sprint in the lower left was being preped for it's 316th flight (built in 1969).  I arranged to have it as the 316th flight of the day.  Quite the occation for me *S*
P5190005.jpg (30471 bytes) My Maxi-Birdie on the pad
P5190006.jpg (27334 bytes) Mini-Saucer lifts off!
P5190007.jpg (26642 bytes) If you look closely, you can see my mini gyroc on the pad (yellow)
P5190008.jpg (26868 bytes) There's Mr. Spock (Spaceman Rocket, scratch built)
P5190010.jpg (20158 bytes) My Orange Crayola Crayon, great flight! Kids love this model!
P5190014.jpg (18863 bytes) My Preator model takes off!
P5190016.jpg (17055 bytes) This is how to NOT launch an egg-lofter (unless that is, you WANT scrambled eggs...)

If you look closely, you can see the bottom of the rocket just to the right of the blast with the shockcord, nose and parachute also to the right of the blast.   Surprisingly, while the egg was scrambled, the rocket is in perfect condition and could have been placed right back on the pad, except for the want of another egg...

P5190017.jpg (16231 bytes) This is a Mercury Redstone. Not sure whose.
P5190018.jpg (18961 bytes) Beautiful shot of someone's Saturn V taking off. (If anyone knows the owners of these models, please let me know and I will update these pages)
P5190020.jpg (18181 bytes) Nice straight launch of a model
P5190022.jpg (10556 bytes) Streaking skyward. one of many G motors from this day!
P5190023.jpg (15754 bytes) My 2 stages Flying Saucer.  An Estes kit saucer as the first stage (C6-0) and my mini-saucer as the second stage (A10-0T)
P5190025.jpg (16264 bytes) Small model rises straight and true!
P5190026.jpg (23046 bytes) My Maxi-Mars Lander.   note the nose cone is a scale Mini-Mars Lander (not the one from Estes, but a scale replica of the original)
P5190027.jpg (12737 bytes) A nice picture, but grossly under powered on a D motor.  She flew much better on an E later in the day!
