Can't remember what
this thing is called, but I love it! |
 |
Nice silloette of a
Mercury Redstone lifting off |
 |
Nice smokey plume |
 |
My gyroc kit ready for
launch |
 |
My Maxi-Sputnik ready
for launch. Built using an 8" ball, I set this up with rear ejection of a 12
inch chute as I felt it was too large for feather weight recovery |
 |
The moment of
ignition. She turned in a great flight for her maiden voyage with perfect chute
deployment and landing! |
 |
Another D-Nelson
lifting off. This is the standard size kit version that folks received at Pearl River. |
 |
Beautiful higher
powered launch. |
 |
It was my day for
cato's... I think my 2 catos accounted for half of them, at least! This is my
SkyWinder. This cato was truely catastophic! The model vaporized, and it even
took out the half inch ceramic blast deflector! |
 |
My old Big Bertha
takes to the sky! |
 |
Here she is folks!
The Mercury Atlas, and the 1000th launch of the day! THIS is why we were
here! |
 |
Group photo of the
rocket owners, Paul Manning (in the blue jump suit) and the members of CMASS that helped
make all this happen! |
 |
And here goes #1000!
into the records and into history! |
 |
Great shot of a real
smoke producing motor! |
 |
This is my Streamer
Duration design (Cougar) that I flew out of a short tower (on ground near launch pad)
using an A3-6T motor. This beauty soared nearly out of sight, deployed her 6" X
60" streamer and promplty proceeded to take advantage of every thermal it could find.
More then 3 minutes later it was still several hundred feet up and well beyond the
range of the field. I'll build another one... |
 |
Another of many great
launches! |
 |
my competition rocket
glider. Turned in a great flight on a 1/2A3-4T, but I missed getting the launch
photo. |
 |
Someones conversion of
an Estes Mean Machine into a No. 2 Pencil! i love it! |
